What your response fee includes
Travel within the normal service area
Assessment of the immediate situation
A reasonable, safe search nearby
Safe capture when the snake is located
Responsible handling and relocation when lawful, appropriate, and possible
Basic guidance for the property owner
Finding or capturing the snake cannot be guaranteed.
The fee is for travel + response + assessment + reasonable search—not only a successful capture.
If the snake is gone
A reasonable search may cover accessible vegetation, walls, outdoor furniture, pool equipment areas, visible hiding places, shaded areas, and accessible object edges near the last-known location.
It does not include dismantling decks, demolition, dangerous access, moving extremely heavy objects, or an exhaustive property search.
One complimentary return
If a snake cannot be located and a snake associated with the same incident reappears at the same property within 24 hours, one return visit is complimentary, subject to availability and reasonable travel conditions.
After the responder leaves
The property is not certified snake-free.
Snakes can remain concealed, move away, or enter again. A completed visit describes only what could reasonably be observed at that time.
Keeping people and pets away from suspected hiding areas
Warning residents, guests, workers, and visitors
Monitoring the last-seen area and following safety instructions
Calling again if the snake reappears
Calling 911 immediately if a bite may have occurred
Qualifying public spaces
Community safety, without unnecessary harm.
The public-space response can remain free when the snake is no longer visible, but the search is limited to the immediate last-seen area—not an entire park or many acres.
Normally qualifies
Public schools and playgrounds, city and county parks, appropriate state-operated recreation areas, public sports fields, community centers, library grounds, trailheads, and heavily used public pedestrian areas.
Conditions apply
The snake should be present or seen very recently at a reasonably identifiable location. Service depends on availability, reasonable travel distance, safe and lawful access, and appropriate conditions.
No surprise travel fee
Significant travel outside the normal service area may carry a fee, but any possible charge is explained before travel. Free guidance may still be available.
Public access is not public ownership
Private or commercial rates usually apply here
Apartment and condominium complexes, HOA property, hotels, restaurants, stores, shopping centers, offices, warehouses, golf courses, country clubs, private event venues, parking lots, construction sites, and other private commercial property.
Children’s facility discretion
Public schools and public playgrounds follow the normal free policy. Private schools, preschools, daycare facilities, and similar facilities may qualify for complimentary service at SoCal Snake Help’s discretion when children are directly at risk.
